When I was growing up, homeschooling wasn’t quite as popular as it is becoming today. As I begin to look for homeschool resources for my own children, I’m excited to find that more and more places are allowing homeschool teachers to get the same discounts as public school teachers. Here’s some of the places I’ve discovered offer teacher discounts for homeschool moms:
This post contains affiliate links.
Thriftbooks – get 15% off when you add 20 or more used books to your cart and use the code APPLE
Barnes and Noble – 20% off the list price on all purchases for classroom use (25% during Educator Appreciation Days)
Half-Price Books – save 10% with the Educator Discount Card
JoAnn – save 15% on every purchase
Michael’s – 15% off every purchase, including sale items, when you present a valid educator ID
Adobe – students and teachers can receive 60% off Creative Cloud
Note that some discounts require an educator ID. If you need an ID, you can order one from HSLDA. This requires a membership, which is not a requirement for homeschooling but is a valuable resource. If you do not wish to purchase a membership, you may be able to use a free ID template. It’s up to each individual company/program to decide what forms of ID they will accept, so be sure to read over the terms when you apply.
